Only Ultimate Universe book I ever did red was Ultimate Spider Man, and I did mean to carry on with it because I found it really enjoyable, but I haven't looked at any of it for a while... Oh well.

I really did admire many things about the Ultimate Universe in general, but I didn't like the fact that they killed so many main characters. Try were trying to be more modernized, but it just pissed me off about how many heroes / villains died with no return.

I prefer the ultimate universe but, I'm kinda biased because I grew up on ultimate comics and the MCU which is sort of like a movie adaptation of the ultimate universe

I remember working in a comic shop when they came out and buying them all. Some great reads (Marvel Zombie origins) in the F.F. run

4:10 it absolutley was necessary. by making the ultimate line more realistic/darker especially coming off a very fresh 9/11 it created a far more engaging and relatable experience, and ultimate spider-man successfully captured what it would be like to be a teenager in that world so it was naturally lighter but the stories felt like they had weight.

I wish the ultimate universe was a complete reboot just like DC's new 52 but instead Marvel's Earth 616 is still there. Marvel's continuity is so messy.
