The funny thing that happens when you start pleasing yourself, is that the burning desire for outside validation begins to dissolve. That need for outside praise and fulfillment (others doing for you as you *wish* they would) fades away when you begin to make fulfilling choices for yourself instead.

Once that happens, it's like an energetic shift takes place. Your needy, grasping energy returns home to center and you become calm and still. And *that* is likely the point in which the attention and validation you've been rabid for this entire time will come -- it's a wild contradiction.
