If you damage the crystal like this make sure you pull out the crown to stop the watch immediately preventing damage to the movement.

MORAL OF THE STORY: DONT SWAP STRAP OUTDOOR - DO IT INDOOR / SITTING ON A COUCH

I had my blue dial Tissot Powermatic 80 Silicium about 10 months. I bought it brand new for £675. I wound it up one morning to find the winding rotor was spinning around with every wind of the crown and it felt really gritty. The shop I bought it from sent it under warranty back to Tissot for repair. I got it back about 5 weeks later. They had repaired and fully serviced it, and to my surprise they extended the warranty by another 2 years. I had the original Tissot watch box but the shop also gave me another box with a little cushion inside, because it’s a nicer box. To my surprise I was also given a smaller Tissot box, which I don’t know about until I got home. So, along with the service, repair and 2 years extra warranty, I also got 2 extra boxes, as well as the original. Now that’s what I call service.

I had a Breitling serviced for the first time since 2007 recently. Full service and polish, plus new crown, £556. A lot, but it came back literally ‘as new’. Would recommend

IN 1984 i bought an extremely used and abused submariner steel - i sent it to Rolex and had a full rebuild done on it - it came back looking like a new watch it was incredible- the bill was £980 - I still have the watch to this day working away ❤

I just got my Rolex Submariner 5512 back from Rolex. They did a full movement service, but I requested absolutely no polishing. They cleaned it thoroughly and a complete disassemble, clean, and lubrication and adjusted . They only buffed the crystal. I bought that watch in 1968 . Absolutely beautiful job they did . Almost $ 1000, but worth it .

Don’t think I have ever seen anyone as rough with their watches as you. When you put the watch down, or rather slammed it on the table, to pick up your enveloped I literally winced. Part of me wishes I could be a little less panicky about my watches but you!!! Jeeze! Would surprise me you said you swat flies with it.

I har my watch serviced in NYC on Nov 2017 and the watch took 4 weeks to get done. Keep in mind my watch is a 2005 Coke GMT 16710. The crown broke, i assume i may have hot the crown again something on my daily commute and the watch stopped working. Went to the Rolex Service center and while they were very nice to take the watch and service it. I too, made it clear, i did not want my watch polished. $840 later my watch came back working just like when it was new. I never had it serviced in 12 yrs of ownership. It has been running consistently keeping time. The technician was very thorough and knowledgeable to explain everything.

My thoughts… make sure you have a YouTube channel with 315k subscribers and you too could get it back in two weeks too 😂😂

these kinds of 'TMI' videos on watches are what we all need more of!

Most surprising thing to me was how good the watch looks on various straps. Good old Adrian, knows how to market straps! Love it.

It's great to finally learn about the servicing process, Adrian. Thanks for peeling back the 904L steel curtain!

My first thought when I clicked on video - "I hope he hasn't changed the dial and bezel", you definitely made the right choice.

Your transitions on these latest videos, like the Black/White Speedmaster ticking and the bracelet-to-strap quick wrist roll in this one, are just insanely good! It's mind blowing how smooth those are.

That’s honestly a very competitive service price, considering all they worked on.
As for the scratches for me it depends if it adds to the story. If I tripped over my frenchie in the morning and scratched up my explorer I’d be pissed. But if it was cool hiking story I’d feel more connected to the watch as it gained its scars doing what it was designed for. I hope that makes sense.

I have the same watch. 2020 version. I wear mine most of the time and cherish every dink and scratch. I would not have changed the dial either. Great video. Thank you.

I’ve had my Sub completely overhauled, replaced parts etc, twice, it came back in literally brand new looking condition both times. (A bunch of parts, crown, crystal, bezel, jewels to name a few) I’ve had it for 20+ years, and couldn’t be happier with both services, condition etc.
I understand the character of scratches etc as a part of my story, but look forward to building new character….again…
Ps they also clean and oil reseal, and replace worn parts like the worn out jewels as well).

Quite surprised with the cost not bad at all

I sent my 1999 Omega SM Pro Chrono to Switzerland for a full service. Hands, springs, gears and many other parts, then polishing. $950 and 4 months later, I got my watch back and was blown away at the difference! They also included a pouch with all of the replaced parts, and they warranted the work for one year. The watch is running at +2 seconds a day. I never thought I would spend that much money on a full service, but for a super sweet Omega, it was worth it.

FYI… I’ve only been interested in mechanical watches for the last 4 or 5 years. I’ve watched tons of videos including all of yours. After watching your explorer videos I decided that was the watch for me. I struggled with getting the 36 or the new 40 mm. After a long wait time I finally got the call. I now own the 40 mm explorer and it’s PERFECT on my 7 1/4 inch wrist. I must be extremely lucky because after a month and a half it’s only 1 second fast. I couldn’t be happier and Ty for the recommending this Perfect watch 👊🏼
