The problem with vintage Rolex’s is that the prices are quite high, but the quality isn’t a patch on the modern models. Particularly the bracelets.

I'm too entertained that you're sporting a Casio F-91W while making a Rolex video. ⌚

Feels like some watch channels are really running out of ideas...

I'd say one critical mistake people make with Rolexes (or high-end watches in general) is not insuring them. Watches are meant to be worn, not tucked away in a safe. Insure that thing so you can daily it without worry 💸

If you are a guy and want the jack of all trades, get a Submariner. Pay only retail at an authorized AD. Do that and you’ll never regret it.

I wanted a Submarinder, so I bought it. Very happy with it!

In 2014 I returned. my PAM 104. Sitting there was a GMT BLNR 116710. I happily returned that PAM and financed 3k and I walked out with a Rolex 1st. The first ever bi-colored Cerachrom Bezel. $8980 no tax out the door! Those days are long gone, I was in the right place at the right time 😊

I don’t even want a Rolex anymore. I’m starting to feel the $5, 000 mark is the most I’d like to spend. Also, was told it would be 18 months and it has been more than twice that now.

I have been dreaming of owning a rolex since i was a kid as it was a luxury timepiece that marked success and wealth to me when i was younger. Glad i was able to pick up my first Rolex from my AD last year and my 2nd piece recently!

I'll never own a Rolex watch... I couldn't even afford the insurance and the costs for servicing a Rolex.
Luckily for me, out of the Rolex lineup only the Air-King comes close to something I would pick, and it just doesn't make sense with all the in my opinion better designed pilot and field watches out there.
I would be much more inclined to pick a Hamilton 42mm Murph, but ever since the inflation hit and increased the cost of living (but not my salary) that's out of my price range as well these days.
It's a good thing there are some lovely cheap quartz watches out there like the Orloff Dunes and the Accurist Aviation - not to mention the Sea2See Panarea01.

That little clip in rule three (2:58) made me crack up haha! It's so relatable the excitment we all have with a nice time piece on the wrist only to forget to be careful...😂

You hit the nail on the head when saying buying the first Rolex you can get. My datejust is the watch I wear the least. I now wish I had bought an explorer, mainly because of its practicality and utility. I actually rejected a submariner after it arrived because it took 3 years on the waitlist and I picked up an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean in the meantime.

Fully agree that buyers remorse is the most awful feeling. It typically takes me about a week to get over the fact that I just spent an unreasonable amount of money on some thing that I don’t really need. The first couple nights are the worst.
