How I Lost Weight WITHOUT CARDIO (50+ lbs!)

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this to you before or not, but I really am not a big fan of cardio as a form of exercise or weight loss. In fact, I’ve lost over 50 lbs 3 different times after having babies without adding any cardio routine into my fitness plan. Don’t get me wrong - I’ve done my fair share of 5ks and mud runs, walks, bike rides, HIIT, swimming, and sprints in my day.

But overall, me and cardio don’t really jive well. I try to do as little as I can lol.
And, by cardio, I mean running on a treadmill or biking or running stairs or generally doing something on a machine at the gym purely to raise my heart rate so I can burn calories.

For the longest time, though, I thought that cardio was the only way to lose weight. I mean it’s all about calories in versus calories out, right?

3. Drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water
4. Eat at a calorie deficit
5. Intermittent fasting
6. Meal prep
7. Protein
8. Rest

Not an excessive amount....but moderate cardio is beneficial for the heart. 💕

I am going to give it my all this time. I've been running 5 days a week for 3 miles and I just can't take it anymore. Today will be the start of this new Journey. I pray that I can do it. Correction I Know I Can Do It

Hey Lacey! I know I have said this before, but I can't thank you enough for all your videos from intermittent fasting, macros, meal prep, foods and inflammation, to exercise. They have helped me tremendously with my weight loss. But probably more significant than that for me, is pain management for my chronic arthritis. I'm learning so much from you that I'm on the road to postponing my knee replacements. That's a very good thing! Thank you, Lacey, for all that you do for so many of us! Sleep is so very important. The older I get, if I don't get good rest, it's like the entire day is messed up! Loved all the tips. Ty!!

I love your videos, meal prepping looks amazing and I love your home gym, I've been following your push/pull workouts and I love them. I'm down 23 lbs since beginning of year, doing it slow and steady and it will be permanent this time :-)

It makes since that sleep plays a roll. I was gaining holiday weight and eating sugary treats at work and not getting enough sleep working 9 to 6:30 everyday since Nov. It all played in to me gaining 13lbs. I already want to lose weigh so i got a job only to gain more. I have lost 11 of those pounds and going for the other 22lbs! Your videos have haelped me so much! Thank you!

Right now I still have an hour to go ... 16/8 fasting ... I'm SO hungry!! Already had 3 cups of coffee!!

Thank you for this video, im sure your very busy but if i can i ask you is it good to do HIIT Pilates whilst doing strength training? Also do i need a lot of equipment? (i cant fit a whole gym or go to one). Thanks and have a great year <3
