No WiFi Adapter Found error on Ubuntu 22.04

If you have WiFi adapter in your Ubuntu system but still getting error No WiFi adapter found in Ubuntu 22.04.

For this, you need to remove whatever WiFi adapter you have installed in your Ubuntu system, and then install the new WiFi adapter in Ubuntu 22.04. For this you can use these 2 commands:

1. sudo apt remove broadcom-sta-dkms bcmwl-kernel-source

2. sudo apt install firmware-b43-installer

this is for broadcom wifi adapter if you are having intel wifi adapter it won't work at all

I tried the steps in several youtube posts for this problem. Luckily I made an image of the computer before trying them all. My old HP laptop has a hardware wi-fi button, F12. If I press it it turns off wi-fi. The settings menu for Wi-Fi says: "No Wi-Fi Adapter Found", the same error this post is trying to fix. I went thru a few hours of trying to fix a problem that wasn't there, and found that it was operator error on my part, not Ubuntu 22.04. I restored the image to wipe away all the changes suggested by youtube. The reason I had pressed F12, was probably when I was trying to boot my imaging software and forgot which key changes the boot order. Another computer (acer) uses F12 to select usb boot order.
Linux is so humbling.

Thanks it worked.Edit: But after some time it just searches for networks and nothing else. I have a Intel wifi card. Mine is a dual booted system and the same wifi card works in windows without any problem

Perhaps worked for some by NOT for the majority - you should have given the prerequisites of when to use this and when NOT to . Now we have more 'driver mess' to try figure out.

for now. i do not think linux ubuntu or mint is a good system. fucking issues, fucking so many issues.
