Just a tip if these steps doesn't work. Try to unplug everything from the laptop and hold the power button for 60 seconds, after that, start the laptop and network adapter will hopefully work again. This fixed it for me at least.

For anyone else dealing with this, beofre you try anything else, unplug all USB devices and reboot the machine. See if the network is working, if so plugin in your devices one by one and check none of them knock the network off.
