TOP 10 Base Locations voted by you in ARK Survival Evolved. The best spots to build for both PvE & PvP voted across every map from Island to Genesis 2.

🖥 MY PC SPECS! 🖥

©️Disclaimer: I Do Not Claim Ownership To Any Of The Music Used In This Video.

I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

You should do a top 10 of every map, (top 10 scorched earth base locations, dinos, etc/ top 10 extinction base locations etc)

Man hidden lake holds big nostalgia in my hearth, its not the biggest nor the flatest spot you can find but it sure brings back memories from 2016 when I first played ark

I always love to see the difference between pve and pvp bases, pvp bases are mostly hidden and tactical, while pve are more shown and good looking. Almost at 50k btw, go get em Raas!!!

I’ve always liked that big lake area surrounded by cliffs on the island.

I was so happy to see Hidden lake base location on the list. I think it is better than herbivore island because easy access to metal, obsidian and other important resources and Creatures such as Argentavis, giganotosaurus, rex spino, snow biome creatures for taming purpose and also mosas also spawn near that area so that also..

I can’t believe nobody voted for Oil Cave in Valguero, probably one of the best PVP Alpha Tribe spots available.
Also Mushroom Cave on Ragnarok is one of the better PVP spots in my opinion also.

I mainly play PvE these days but I will say I love seeing PvP builds. They're ridiculously creative and yes I've seen some cool PvE builds but PvP imo forces you to be creative. Also, what's really sad is that most of those PvE spots are usually pillared off.

I can't believe everyone forgot the cave on Ragnarok. Not the one under the 3 waterfalls, but one in the grasslands that's accessable through one big waterfall. Ovis and Equus spawn near it often, so whenever your looking to tame something nearby like an Allosaurus, it's a go-to place to prepare! Plus, Gigas cant fit inside

Hey Raasclark, could you do the same concept video, but without caves, and more focused on the scenery? like, the most beautiful locations. I always find myself looking for beautiful places to build at, not safest or most resource around or whatever.... cause i love a good looking place and it makes me have to go out to get resources and then i see the scenery again... and i love it

I personally like the one area on the Island that has a hollow redwood bridge and you build on the non-redwood side. I forget what it is called but you can see the area at 7:25 on the video if you follow the river down. There is a clay pot explorer note there as well. The only thing you have to do is build some walls near both of the shore lines to prevent wild dinos from wandering in.
It isn't completely flat, but I just build a pretty large round workshop with a cliff platform on the rocky hill that has the explorer note on it. If you hover over the spot just right you should get the full platform above the hill to utilize it completely.

I just really love it for the location itself. You are somewhat close to all the beaver spawns the little cliff with metal on it plus the mountains. You got your own personal bridge to the redwood biome with the trunk and also you can build a tree platform and I set up some zip lines as well. So sap and wild beehives are right next door.

Also the poison cave with the Maganeura isn't that far so if I need a lot of paste right away and beavers aren't making it fast enough I just run in the cave with a frog.

Herbivore Island is cool and all but there aren't as many resources near it and gets boring. It does however make for a good water dino pen. So usually I will make a base there just for that and try to build everything on the shallow water so I don't disturbed the metal spawns.

I returned to Scorched Earth earlier this year. IMO it's one of the best looking map's. A lot of great locations for a PvE player to build. It is a very hard map to start out on.

I love the Center caves. Great fun to fight through them and great to build in.

Great video as always. The "honorable mentions" section looks a LOT better now. Your videos have helped a lot since I came back to ark after a very long hiatus (pre-Scorched Earth).

One of my go to spots on Ragnarok is near the castle on the flat plateau across from it. Easy access to every single resource, also in a beautiful area

I play single player, and I just like pretty places, usually in snow biomes.
