In this game, you can peacefully live alongside mysterious creatures known as Pals or risk your life to drive off a ruthless poaching syndicate.

Pals can be used to fight, or they can be made to work on farms or factories.
You can even sell them or eat them!

In a harsh environment where food is scarce and vicious poachers roam, danger waits around every corner. To survive, you must tread carefully and make difficult choices...even if that means eating your own Pals when the time comes.

Pals can be mounted to traverse the land, sea, and sky—allowing you to traverse all kinds of environments as you explore the world.

Want to build a pyramid? Put an army of Pals on the job. Don't worry; there are no labor laws for Pals.

Make use of Pals and their skills to make fire, generate electricity, or mine ore so that you can live a life of comfort.

Some Pals are good at planting seeds, while others are skilled at watering or harvesting crops. Work together with your Pals to create an idyllic farmstead.

Letting Pals do the work is the key to automation. Build a factory, place a Pal in it, and they'll keep working as long as they're fed—until they're dead, that is.

With Pals on your side you can tackle even the most dangerous areas. When the time comes, you might have to sacrifice one to save your skin. They'll protect your life—even if it costs their own.

Breed a Pal and it will inherit the characteristics of its parents. Combine rare pals to create the strongest Pal of them all!

Endangered Pals live in wildlife sanctuaries. Sneak in and capture rare Pals to get rich quick! It's not a crime if you don't get caught, after all.

Multiplayer is supported, so invite a friend and go on an adventure together! And of course you can battle your friends and trade Pals, too.

In online co-op play mode, up to 4 players can play together.
Additionally, a dedicated server can allow up to 32 players to play together.

Imo sulfur and quartz don't really need it's own dedicated base, I'd say having 2 bases for metal is good and then the 3rd best being a nice aesthetic and flat area for breeding and ranching would be better.

Also everyone always ignoring the spot north of Azurobe Alpha at - 75, -315 that has like 10 metal nodes and a coal node.

So, I did the 1st and 3rd bases, but focused on ingots, since there's so much ore. Turn the ingots into nails, sell them and buy all the food you need. I have 3 bees at a ranch for the honey, then buy tomatoes, flour, eggs, milk and berries from the merchant to make all the cake I need. Then, I make pizza for everyone to eat. every ore you mine is worth 160g as a nail.

It's quite easy to get to the Rayne Tower base from Plateau of Beginnings. Stick toward the right side as you work your way down the hill, but don't rush to the bottom. Use quick dropped benches to make your first tools and weapons. Get some wool to make your first Glider. There's some easy rocks along the right before the final descent past Mammorest. Stay up there until you see a narrow gap with a Fruit tree on the other side. Glide across (you cant make it on jump alone), and you're now on the Chillet plateau. Run along past her, and across the bridge and you are in your new home. You may need to make a couple trips out for rock until you can make an mining plot, but it's a good starter location.

Sulfar is right near the boss tower in the lava area, you can fast travel there very quickly (don't need a base for sulphur), we use the second spot you spoke of as our mining base. We have our main base just below it so it's in close render and we get the miners to work all day. We also use the first quartz spot you showed but we just use that palbox as a fast travel spot, it has one box to load up your haul and the main base has one box next to it to store heavy transported items. What's the use of all these base locations if they all stay in stasis.

Don't know if anyone will find it useful but i have a good spot at -257, 393

Around 8 quartz nodes and 2 ore nodes, quite a sizeable amount of space too

Equip cold resistant though

Nice, thanks. In the future, puting the coordinates would have been nice.

I've never heard anyone mention it so I thought I'd comment. I fully defensive walled and gated one of my bases (just inside the blue line) and it has never been attacked. It is placed so you can have a continuous wall all the way around. I don't know how many people have tried this, but it seems to work. Would love to see it tested more.

There it's one good spot for Ore mining and make a base. Mount Flopie Summit. take the fast travel there, falk forward passing the clearing and at the end there it's a small ramp leading on a lower terrace with several ore nodes. there it's also some stone, trees and nearby one or two coal nodes. Only direct entry spot it's the road from the fast travel, otherwise need to fly or jump down from the very top of the Mount Flopie Summit, but it's a high jump.

you can also use the hanging trap + campfire trick on a black marketeer to get an insane amount of gold and use that on the merchant over at fisherman’s point for easy ammo. that way you can focus your last base on quartz

I decided to turn raids off, I don't really see the point in having them on if you're just going to disable them via making your base on an unraidable hill, I did do this at level 40 but at that point I didn't really see the raids scaling past level 35~ and they just became an inconvenience.

2:28 this is the spot I chose for my ore base that became my main base (2nd spot). The defense is so good you can ignore raids much of the time unless they are working a number on my bridge barricades.

1:10 Fun fact about this spot: if you put it more towards the middle instead of near the cliff and that you put defense walls as near as possible of the cliff, you can keep a portion of the base there and the raids will go there and stop at the cliff.

Figured that out with the first ruin looking spot at the very beginning of the game. Somehow, after putting defense walls the raids weren't going upstairs towards my stone gate since there was technicly a portion of my base undefended.

I moved my first base to a big open plateau that has plenty of stone and wood... using the same spot as you for base #2 with all the ore and coal I didn't see a need to have any ore there... and there is some you get from the stone. I typically build my walls and such with stone so it just makes sense... was a nice flat area... in the "fall" sort of area... it does get raided but I don't much care... it's easy to keep whatever out... I am still kinda searching for a 3rd base spot... not sure exactly what I want... I considered getting a spot with the quartz but then I was like meh... I go mine that myself quick whenever I need that... I was more looking for something um... pretty. Though I did see a spot or 2 that was sort of ok... I just couldn't really decide... so I haven't placed my 3rd base yet.

I made my first base down the hill from the main spawn point, then when i unlocked two bases I moved that one to one of the islands in the north by dying and respawning at a waypoint up there. Disabled the original base and moved it to that first place you showed the ore, now I've got a third base on the hill with the coal you showed so i might move the yellow ore base to one of the sulfur or quartz places next.

I do want to keep the main base on that island because I have a lot of space.

I see big issues down the road for this game when they add the PVP Raid of other players where it's like Rust, the map never changes, servers will have zergs that will take over the good spots and the other guys will have to deal with the zerg dominating.. For such a game mode procedurally generated map is a MUST, aka each time new save it's a new map with new locations.

I can't remember exactly where it is at, but there is a REALLY good coal area in the desert in the NE of the map. I need to find it again because it's basically a cliffside with around 8-9 nodes on it and really no way to actually get raided.

You can skip sulfur until the endgame, since all ammo except for rockets can be purchased from merchants.
And you can make easy money by crafting then selling nails.

You can try reducing the saturation a bit. Too bright for certain colors. But thanks for the info
