There's a cliff edge down past Kamenka. It's got nice open spaces between the bushes and trees and it's very easy to build your base in such a way that the trees and bushes make it nearly impossible to see with a scope. And quite impossible to spot at a distance with the naked eye. And since nothing spawns out there besides trees and bushes that means nobody has a reason to venture that far into the forest. It's almost on the edge of the map. It's close to a group of military tents and the coast. A friend and I had our base there and we were able to comfortably fit 2 car tents with a Humvee and Ada 4x4 in them, 8 canopy tents, two large tents and one medium tent. With room still to expand deeper into the forest but we never did. That base was never found, we kept it there for over a month and it ended up despawning eventually bc we took a break from DayZ and didn't log on to re raise our flag.

In the town above NWAF there's an industrial/construction area with a few massive buildings and some towers. One of the big buildings has a few floors and a big space up top with roof access. There's only one staircase up and only a few doors in general to get into the building. The top floor is absolutely perfect for a base.

When I first started playing on DayZ, I encountered a problem with building in the city. Most modded servers use the Gas mod, and when I built a base in the city, I was surprised to find no other bases around. I spent all of Friday night building that base. However, when I logged in on Saturday morning, my base was filled with gas. I was confused because I had only played for 5 hours. Unfortunately, I died in my base. Since then, I have avoided building in a city or large town on any server with the gas mod.

The school gymnasiums are one of my favorite places. The gym is a big open floor plan and only has two doors, one of which you can seal off with stacked walls and then there's so much space around the other than you can build a maze of an airlock if you want. The school courtyard itself is great for building a little external garage for a car that's not easy to spot from outside the compound.

The school also typically doesn't spawn a ton of loot, so people often pass it by. With Base Building Plus you can put chainlink fence over the big windows so you can keep people vaulting in while still being able to see out.

I have grown to love the dam over the years. Always astounding how little people notice it even tho it's in plain sight, just because the dam usually is not worth a trip.

i would love to see base locations where you can use FLAGS without the flag giving it all away. we liked the double decker red roof barns, if you can place the flag centered, the pole doesnt really poke out the top. and only 2 holes to block, and you can layer it inside using gates and towers. and if done right, you can get 2 Ladas or 2 Golfs inside

I think the best place to build a base is in an area surrounded by Wolves and Bears with only one safe passage, Either North of Devil's Castle or East of Tisy Military Base.

I just read the comments and I don't understand how you guys don't lose your base in one day.None of the spots mentioned in the video are safe and probably by the time you reconnect you will find your base raided.

Them little sheds are good you can fit a large tent and one of the smaller cars in at the same time but it takes a little bit of stuffing around to get the car in there

On the original standalone map there used to be a house atop a rock out crop right next to the debug zone all the way west and about 1.5 kilometers from the coast that I used as a base for a long time and it was never found. There were no roads to it and it was seemingly just a random house there but it no longer exists in the current map

DayZ Life Hack: Got a place with no water source? Drop a drum and remove the lid. Rain will slowly fill it up OR dump water from Jerry-Cans.

Apartments are my favorite spots for discreet solo bases. No walls, just crates n barrels, maybe one wall to block off the floor or room im on. If the complex is small or a standalone building.

Also the four story ones with all the windows in the accessible attics are gr8 just 2 doors and usually surrounded by loads of buildings.

The server i play on rn i took over the ATC tower in vybor for funsies. Incredibly expensive, building takes at least 5 walls to secure the main building. I think i ised 45-50 walls to secure the perimeter wall, but building the fences right behind the walls makes the wall almost impossible to breach. Only way through is to hit the gaps in concrete.

if you play on a non KOS server, the camp of Romashka, south of Severograd and east of Devil's Castle is a really nice clan base, everybody can get their own cabin, and it has fresh water as well as a hospital

4:12 that office building was a nightmare to raid started off with M4’s and a had to use mosins to finally get through all those walls they had stacked in the hallways

I have had my fair share of "good" spots, but one thing i learned, it will be found eventually, so no place is truly safe, altough i have to admit having a wood base atleast a small open one, just hidden stashes lived the longest for me. Currently i choose a Building base again, and this time i build my base in Pavlovo in the Contaminated Zone, in the post office building, at the rooftop i have clear air, and you can only access it via ladder, wich i placed the fences the way you wouldnt be able to get up with Wires, obviously surrounded the building with layer of Walls. This Base took long time of preperation and looting, befor going for it, i thought ifs inevitable that people find my base, than atleast i can make it harder for them to raid it, now they have to fight the Gas alongside layer of Walls and Zombies.

We need a livonia vid. I think the prision on livonia is a good base becasue you have looks onto the spawn river and tons of trees near by and a wayer fountain in the prison
