In this video I showcased 50 of the best DayZ base locations in the year 2024, from the most secret and hidden bases to the biggest and strongest bases. There's a base location in here for every group size, from solos to massive clans.

Over the years I've come to appreciate smaller base locations over the big, obvious ones. I start small, secure my spot then build out from there, particularly if the location would be able to accomodate a vehicle.

Church bases can be really fun in gunfights, remember we had a "hotel" at the church in the town we had our base in. And the hotel residents tried to form a group and attack us, we were fighting for an hour or so until they asked to leave safely. Then one of the admins showed up and sniped one of the guys and they thought we did it, so they tried to raid us the next day. But damn was it fun.

6:20 is my favorite base. I've lived there for 4 years and only been raided twice. 10/10 since there's a river a couple meters down the hill, it's 15 minutes from a hospital, and north enough to find lots of military gear.

The cherno/elektro mountain base is always a go to for me. It’s easy to get to super out of the way and while I’ve only built tents and crates, the vertical options you have there are really impressive.

I've built in most of the "common" base building spots, and now prefer locations which are either, less used, not as popular or where you have to be a little creative. Generally, my strategy is to find 1) a new spot I've never used, 2) an existing building with impenetrable walls that can be secured with a single gate, 3) a building which is at least 2 stories high. I'm glad you didn't mention the barns because they are actually the worst, but for some reason they seem to bee extremely common right now (on the servers I've been on recently anyway).

Took me 3 days to build my 1st base in a industrial wearhouse, it got raided within 24 hours of finishing it

1:52 I used to make bases in these sheds all the time - but you can get 'wall banged' easily enough. Bullets just cut and shred through the walls - so you have to build extra walls inside; which appears pointless really, when other buildings can be utilised.

The Piano house is very good.

Now, the downside is, (3) entrances - so (3) gates/walls...but as Rav mentioned, difficult to door camp.

You start on the stairs at the top, block that off. Maybe also the rear room. So that is two doors. Players can still enter downstairs, but as you acquire more building materials you can wall off 1 or 2 of the 3 entrances - I've done it as a solo and it is achievable. I build a triangle/V type construction at the bottom of the stairs, with a gate and a wall for added protection.

Another bonus of this two-floor build, you can put a flag on the bottom floor (once secured) and it is relatively well hidden.

Sorry to say mate but there’s no secret hidden spot for me in chernarus, simply there’s no good base location where you can avoid to get raided, the harder to raid are the industrial buildings with ladder outside

Building a base in DayZ is just putting a target on your forhead.There are big clans that can raid any base on server and there is no secret place for a base.

Making a stash with wooden boxes somwhere in woods under a tree is a much better option.You saved a lot of time and its a lot more safe.

Evry time I had build a base it was radied and from then, evry time i made a stash in woods was working so good.

Tripple yellow is the one. Run barbed wire over the ladder access on all ways up, and you can't climb up through the wire. It has to be ruined, before you can get passed. Which, because it's a long way up means noob choob, god nades, or a lot of ammo. Be careful, it is possible to gain access to the broken ladder side with an easy jump up.

Best thing I’ve done that’s never been discovered is place barrels or crates in a creek or pond. Very very hard to find

i remeber building an arch base over the road in between Gorka and Novy Sobor on dayz epoch back in the day, since alot of people would take that road to get to the stary sobor trader, it was nice to just open the window and unloading a mag from my m240 into the drivers windshield.

the chicken coop one is a really good idea. I'll quickly share one of my best secret locations. Lets say you place a small container behind a couch somewhere in an apartment.

If I still played DayZ, I'd have experimented with deerstand base, there are plenty of choices in eastern and western forests, which are off the beaten track and sometimes don't even border any open space.

Improvised shelters are awesome..build them with the opening facing into the tree amd its almost invisible.

My team and I spent dayz (see what i did there) trying to find the perfect out of the way base. Longer to get it built. Finally got it done, came back a couple days later from supply running and the place was griefed so hard it was just a tent and a few poles standing. No more bases, just stashes.
