To calculate the diameter of a sphere, we need to know its volume. The estimated volume of water on Earth is about 1.332 billion cubic kilometers.

The formula to calculate the volume of a sphere is V = (4/3) * π * r^3, where V is the volume and r is the radius of the sphere.

To find the radius, we rearrange the formula as follows: r = (3V / (4π))^(1/3).

Substituting the volume of water on Earth into the formula, we get:
r = (3 * 1.332 billion / (4 * π))^(1/3) ≈ 637.1 kilometers.

Finally, to find the diameter, we multiply the radius by 2:
diameter = 2 * r ≈ 2 * 637.1 ≈ 1, 274.2 kilometers.

Therefore, the diameter of a sphere that would contain all the water on Earth would be approximately 1390 kilometers.
