I saw this movie after eating a special brownie and it was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever witnessed in theaters. Never have I been so scared by a monster on film

this scene made the movie for me, personally. the claustrophobia and hopelessness of the scene is toooo much

When people said this wasn't a horror movie and you point to this scene. The horror comes from the feeling of empathy that the audience feels towards the crowd. Knowing that there's no hope, that some will be hearing the screams of their children while trapped knowing there's no hope in the end. That is fear.

What’s scary to me is the fact that the people who are still being digested are also feeling all the force from Jean jackets crazy flight maneuvers

Although I have seen worse in other films, it is the last woman's increasing scream that makes it more haunting, as her pain starts and increases, she gives a short scream after her moaning, and then she screams louder and longer. Horrendous indeed.

The most disturbing 'inside of a spaceship' imagery since 'Fire in the Sky'

I still don't understand how Jordan Peele could go from comedy sketches to this 🤯

I know that Jean Jacket probly was just a predator and probly didn't kill out of malice but knowing that he died and no one else in this universe will suffer such a horrible fate is good

The fact that they had the time to stop being able to scream and make actual observations and struggle inside that things is what fucks me up the most. Im used to the Jurassic park kind of deaths in these scenarios, where the second you are in the animal’s jaws it’s over. But this, to have the time to understand what’s going on and helplessly watch and struggle from the inside as you slowly ascend to your death, that’s horrible.

I can feel the dread in my chest while typing this, burning my nose and clamping down on my lungs, calcifying at the very center and weighing me down in my chair.

Nope was a good title for this movie.

Yeah this scene really carry’s weight to it at first I was appalled and horrified but then it clicked in my head, this movie succeeded in making me feel genuine uneasiness and terror, that is a true horror movie. There’s a bit of an interesting parallel between us the viewers and the audience that gets suck up, they much like us had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

Fun fact: the stomach churns and twists like a bag to break up food inside

At this scene I saw when they were on the inside and I said “wait this looks organic what type of UFO is this?”

you can see Jupe being digested (thers a red flag near his head) he says "ahh get me outta here" real quick ... oh the horror

Had a damn panic attack in the theatre watching this scene.

It’s little scenes like this that show the true horror and otherworldliness of Jean Jacket.
This isn’t even it’s stomach. The square-streamers-thing is it’s mouth. The camera even cuts to the mouth as if to show how eager it is for this next meal.
We’re not witnessing them being eaten alive. This is just the *preparation* phase of it’s eating cycle.

the screams reminds me of roller coaster screams. like I imagine they all felt the stomach-dropping feeling due to jean jacket flying and screamed because of that feeling and just hopelessness

fun fact: jordan peele had people make screams of joy and screams of agony on this scene. that is why it is terrifying

Legitimately one of the most haunting scenes, this has stuck with me ever since I saw it, and I would not consider myself claustrophobic up until I saw this lol
