What I love the most about this scene is how it primes you to think there are multiple aliens inside a spaceship. Jordan Peele is the master at leading his audience and then pulling the rug out from under them.

This scene is only scary for those who don't have cats, because this is exactly the kind of scene they act out every single night: a strange silhouette creepily staring at you in a dark room, before slowly stalking toward you and then peeking from around a corner. 🤣

Best scene in the film other than the infamous Gordy bit. Those costumes are awesome designs. Doesn't matter that it was a prank in the end, it's a chilling scene

Didn't notice on first viewing, but it's suspicious that the horses are so calm when "aliens" are right outside their stalls. The horses have likely interacted with Jupe's kids before and aren't concerned that they're back.

I absolutely LOVED this scene; creepiest part for me and my audience/theatre reaction was priceless!! But like…… the kids are aware this is a ranch right? I get jupe kinda knows the Haywood’s and would probably know about the danger but like, it’s a ranch ….. and most ranch owners have guns 😭😭

I will never forget experiencing this scene for the first time on its opening week. A packed theater and not a sound through this scene except the audience shaking in nervous fear of the tension. Pure terrifying atmosphere right there. Jordan knows how to tease us!!
