My 2004 BMW 325i only got 15 MPG since I bought it 5 years ago.
I cleaned the MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR and I'm getting around 30+ now!!!
(It never threw a fault code for anything. Including Oxygen Sensors.)

How often should one do this? & do it when the tank is almost empty? After how many miles can your refuel?

mate could this be what i need i ran my car out to the point of it cutting out so i could put a gallon in from can then set the dash to 0 and when it ran out again i had done 24 miles and i only got a 1.0 12v corsa c and yesterday i had a 1/4 of a tank then drove and done 10 miles and the car was bang on the red with petrol light on.

I have a question Dean what would make a codes from engine: 002d06, 002a2f, 002a2e I had new lambda sensors done and all adapted. I guess Maf is gone as symptoms starts on 4, 5, 6 gear when floored or pushed harder.
