I thought a dirty sparkplug played a much bigger role on MPG than a dirty air filter.

I usually change my filters, clean the throttle body, clean the MAF, inspect transmission fluid and coolant once a year. Lot of people say it lasts longer but doesn’t hurt to change early if needed

My 2010 rogue was getting only like 17-15 mpg, took a look into the air filter and found out that it was completely clogged, never got a code or light on the dash, but cleaned the whole air intake system and installed a K&N filter and I'm back to 22-25 mpg, made a huge difference, also took the time to take a look on the spark plugs and coil packs, everything is fine there, still need to clean or replace that catalityc and clean or replace the injectors because none has never been replaced and the car has already 186k miles on it.

I changed my air filter and cleaned everything out.
Definitely needed it.
But made zero discernible difference to performance and economy.
Bit disappointing, lol.

I've got rid of my restrictive filter box on my 2002 S10 & installed a K&N Cold Air Filter System..it was the best upgrade I've done

I don’t like to subscribe to anything because my YT gets filled with more than I want but this little vignette is great and something everyone can do. I have you a thumbs up and sent it to my relatives that need to know.

My jeep has the winch hooked to a 18 wheeler in neutral. Now I get 100 miles per gallon in idle!
Hooking the jeep to the 18 wheeler was the best fuel economy mod!!

It only idols to run the electronics & the air conditioner!

My 2004 BMW 325i only got 15 MPG since I bought it 5 years ago.
I cleaned the MASS AIRFLOW SENSOR and I'm getting around d 30+ now!!!
(It never threw a fault code for anything. Including Oxygen Sensors.)

Yup, rodents in both my car and truck. Once the first rodent comes in, it’s over, there will be a daisy chain of them as they follow each other’s smell. I fixed the car (for a while) with hardware cloth epoxied in a couple spots. It is nuts though that OEMs would not make vehicles rodent-resistant, especially for 4WD trucks that are designed to go (and sometimes stay overnight) up forestry and back roads.

Please do a video on Chevy Express 3500 LT 6.0 Fuel economy. Thanks
Have addressed air filter and fluid changes yet my van continues to degrade in fuel mileage. It's a 2016 model with 65, 000 miles.

Great tip re: mice, getting in there. I have had this problem, but don't know where they are getting in....so that's a big help to start. So GROSS. I think they are in my air vents, but the 1999 Rodeo doesn't have a cabin filter so access means I'd have to remove the whole front of ny dashboard....No videos on how to do that so far. I did stick mothballs where I fond a nest by my emergency brake box. Smell keeps me out too but it seems to help.
