Best tips I've heard all week. Sure I already know this but it's good to get a reminder now and then. I tend to haul around too much stuff in my trunk 'just in case.'

Also, clean your MAF sensor at least every 6-12 months; I get like 10-15% lower consumption each time I do it.

Scotty failed to mention, the best gas milage savings is "don't step on the gas like a manic" gradually increase throttle and if your in a area where you can go 45-60, go fast enough for your car just till it shifts into final gear and maintain that low rpm if traffoc/conditions allow. Or the ultimate gas savor, don't drive 😂

Improving driving habits makes a huge difference and can extend the life of a vehicle. It seems everyone is in a race to get ahead of the other cars. I see people stopped at a red light and when it turns green it's like a drag race. Don't be in such a hurry. Plan ahead and leave early instead of the last minute. Every vehicle I've owned I always got a couple more miles to a gallon than what the vehicle was estimated to achieve.

I’ve found that using cruise control as much as possible helps a decent amount with gas mileage

My dad has a Ford F-150 powerboost, was only getting 12 mpg with his custom rims, put the air to the right pressure and went all the way up to 19mpg.

Also use your cruise control at the speed limit and slow down when the wind is blowing hard.
The faster you drive the more fuel the engine uses. The faster you drive when it's windy the more the air speed increases. That's very dangerous because the wind can blow you off the road especially if you are pulling a camper trailer or driving a big rig.
