Let's remember to be gracious ourselves. It is easy to point the finger at any believer and spot sin in their lives. Ravi was never convicted. Whether he is alive or dead, the issues raised against him are allegations. His ministry led many to Christ and we should not forget that. Praise God for what he did through Ravi. Even if the allegations are true, none of us are without sin.

Edit: well, just found out about his secret life of sin. I'm still in shock and I hate it. He seemed so good. "Why do you call Me good? No one is good but God alone." Still stands true.

Only God knows if He is pleased with Ravi, but maybe not so much with Mac. I am not saying this is the case, but I would be careful about condemning other believers. There was one Christian leader who had an affair. He was afraid about being called out on it - so he murdered the husband! 'Great' Godly leader, right? His name was David. He was the king of Israel. He was a man after God's own heart, but it sounds like John would have condemned him.
Be careful not to be impressed with your own spirituality! "God, I thank thee that I am not like Ravi Zacharias. I live a chaste life and preach the true gospel." You never know if Ravi beat his breast, saying, "God have mercy on me a sinner." It may be that only Ravi is the justified one, perhaps not Pastor MacArthur. Again, I don't know John's standing with his Maker, but what he says concerns me.
It's been said that there is so much about the Pharisees in the Bible because there is so much Pharisee in us! Be careful in condemning other Christians as they might be right with God. Challenge bad doctrine! Defend the faith! Yet, be careful not to pull up the tares - you might pull up some wheat instead! Let God do the sifting on that great and terrible day when He judges the world in righteousness. Jesus Christ is light of the world.

I really hope John McArthur is not hiding sin in the dark like Ravi Zacharias. Honestly the church and the world need leaders and Christians who are walking in the light and living out the gospel. It's more important then ever for Christian leaders to be transparent and repent of anything at all that could further tarnish the Kingdom and the name of Jesus. This is true for all Christians. Jesus help me (us) to walk in your light. When we die to have nothing to hide or be ashamed of.
