As somebody that grew up in the Sacharin era I'm leery of all artificial sweeteners . I stick with honey. When it comes to ingredients my rule of thumb is " Your ingredients should only have one ingredient." .

Stevia isn't artificial. It's a delicious plant that I grow in the garden. While the extracts are processed, Stevia can be used right out of the garden like any herb and has great benefits like many other healthy herbs. Most likely all of these "studies" were done with processed stevia extract mixed with the chemical ingredients you mentioned. Many of these chemicals cause gut issues on their own. I looked at a couple of studies and they used extracts. I haven't seen or heard of any studies using only the plant powder. The gigantic super-wealthy sugar industry has a major rea$on to villainize its competition.

I’ve been hearing mixed reviews in stevia, and what I heard today was always said about artificial sweeteners not stevia. Is it possible the research got mixed up. But other sources I’ve seen on here said it wasn’t that issue

Thank you! I have been using Sweet Leaf Stevia, thinking it was safe. I won’t use it after hearing what you have to say about it. Is there a safe sweetener?

Stevia should have NO dextrin nor maltodextrin mixed with it. Doing intermittent fasting regularly PLUS eating LCHF foods BOTH MAKE A HUGE difference for weight loss, letting the body heal & cleanse, & keeping glucose & insulin levels from spiking.

Thanks Dr. Mitch this helps bring a diabetic. Also I went from a 38 inch to 36 inch waist. I think this has to do with less fast food and eating more healthy.

i think stevia is fine pick leaves off the plant dehydrate and blend into a powered all Natural, its any foods that is processed that's a problem, and its 100% better than sugar.
