And for anybody out there buying powdered Stevia in the stores read your labels. Because I found that the powdered Stevia I was buying contained maltodextrin and dextrose. I stopped buying that and opted for the liquid sweet drops brand of stevia which just contains stevia

I've learned that I am an abstainer rather than a moderator. Even though sweeteners like stevia may not raise my insulin levels, I'm more likely to eat other foods that I shouldn't be eating. If I avoid ALL sweet tastes, my cravings go away after a couple of days.

Dang girl you had me scared! I thought I was going to have to give up my stevia. Thank goodness.💕

I used to grow a little stevia plant in my apartment, eating one of the fresh leaves tastes pretty much exactly like the extract! Super sweet and you can boil the fresh leaves with your tea to sweeten it or add to smoothies etc. Since the fresh leaves taste just like the extract I'm comfortable using good quality stevia extract and i think there are probably even some health benefits 💖

I've been using organic liquid stevia for years and this video alleviates any questions I may have had about using it. Thanks for creating this post!

Thanks for this video. I’m always hearing that stevia supposedly raises blood sugar… but I’ve tested blood sugar multiple times and it doesn’t go up after consuming it. It’s probably the only thing that keeps me on track and stops me craving real sugars.

I like how you teach about finding a healthy balance in what we eat. I want to be both healthy AND happy. What we eat is a big part of our lives. It shouldn't be a source of stress. Thanks, Lillie.

Just wanted to say you are the voice of reason and so level headed amongst all these animal based communities - I appreciate your videos so much and you make these concepts so much easier to learn about 🙌🏼

We now grow Stevia in our garden. Wife dehydrates it and grinds it up. Excellent!!!

Thanks for this Lillie. I saw that (paper) on stevia destroying the gut microbiome . Yet I hadn't seen anything else on it and you'd think all the health and weightloss channels would have been all over it. YAY I am not going to stress over that anymore. 🤣

I love how you look at things from both sides, great job!

One of the biggest problems I have with stevia is that most of it is from China (including Now brand). "Stevita" is grown in Brazil. I hope this helps someone. Thank you for all your hard work/content, Lillie! I've learned so much from you!

I have so much healing to do. Stevia causes me to have worse anxiety than carbs. It’s a big no for me where I’m at on my journey. Allulose was even worse. Both are sweeteners so many others use without issues. Everyone is different. For me, there’s no room for sweeteners. At least not yet.

Thanks as always Lillie, breaking down an important subject in a common sense way! Great clear facts!

Stevia and monk fruit and allulose all affect me— my blood glucose does go up (I wear a Dexcom). Stevia also contributes to migraines for me. I can handle the raw LMNT- but if I have a flavor my glucose goes up. I think it’s really important to remember that every body is different… what works for one may not work for another.

I’ve used pure stevia extract powder (single ingredient) as my sweetener several since it became available in the US. It doesn’t do anything to my blood glucose or ketones. Admittedly, I had decided it would be great for me before I ever tried it because I wanted to stop using artificial sweeteners.

As some have mentioned in the comments, we surely are "all different", & it's important to do our own research, be our own experiment, & take responsibility for what we put in our bodies. Knowing how EVERY ingredient/component/type of food affects you is critical, which is another aspect of this channel I appreciate.
Having some of the facts/data/scientific research already looked into & presented in a clear, concise manner is super helpful in this process. It is at least a starting point, based on another person's research & experience~ paves the way, so to speak. The only way to determine if something is "good" for you or not is by taking in such information, then applying it to yourself & your own considerations.🎯 Thanks again Lilly~ Sammy in AZ

Great video! A little off topic: I really enjoyed your cruise video. Here’s an idea: You should put together a group “carnivorish” group cruise on MSC World America (best bang for buck of new large ships). It would be a a lot of fun!
