How to Use System Restore on Windows 11

Learn how to do a system restore on Windows 11.

The System Restore feature is great for fixing basic problems without having to do a complete system reset. All you have to do is choose point before your problems started. Windows 11 will restore your computer back to that point.

Now, if for instance an app was installed after the point, it will be removed. But, the files associated with it will still be on your PC.

for those who are asking how much it takes, well for fast pcs it takes about 10 mins - 30 mins, average it takes 30mins-40mins and for slow pcs it takes 1 hour - 2 hours

I had a brightness issue in my Lenovo 2022 Thinkbook 14 . My brightness button wouldn’t work and using the settings brightness scale would not change it at all. I tried to update my graphics but messed it up. I did a system restore to try to fix me messing up my graphics and to fix the brightness issue. From seeing comments I was scared it would take a whole day to restore. Fortunately It restored for about 30 minutes . I plugged in my charger while it was restoring and it didn’t disturpt it. My screen turned black after I plugged in my charger, turns out it just went to sleep mode.

Now my brightness works and no documents were affected.

Advice: Adjust sleep mode to 2 hours atleast so it doesn’t go to sleep while restoring and you don’t have to keep coming back to move your mouse. This can disturb the restoring mode

I couldn't. After restoring, the pc showed that the system could not be restored. Some error is occurring. How to fix that
