With system restore, should only use it for your c drive or can you also use it for your hard drive and should you?

Thanks for making this video. I seriously hate Microsoft for not just keeping System Restore on automatically! What were they thinking?! Pardon the small rant.

Thanks for this. Is there any way to restore windows 10 back to when your computer was new without all the windows updates? This was a much used feature that I miss so much!

The box that pops up doesn't look like that.

I just found this out today, and I'm pissed. I installed a driver update, one that stated it had created a restore point prior to install, well guess what, it didn't and it seems to be causing stability issues. I have a somewhat recent image of the system that I can use, so not the end of the world, but still very annoying.

The part where you use the slider, suggesting 5% should give plenty of options. Well no, it didn't, neither did taking the slider to 15%. I was left with only one choice which was so recent, it was AFTER the problems began. Maybe the problem is blocking all other options because when I tried to make my own point, it was registered as the time I made it, in other words only five minutes earlier. My problem is the "we can't sign in to your account" message, and all the tutorials and hints I've followed refuse to make the problem go away. Microsoft telephone help line is useless as it's virtually impossible to get through and when I eventually did, the assistant said she wasn't the one to deal with the problem and would put me through. After several minutes of music the line went dead.

For the most part system restore doesn't work. They never updated it so I wouldn't depend on it. One thing I would say is boot to system repairs and try it from there you may have better luck.
I haven't try this myself but if I ran into problems that is what I would do.
