Stress burns a bunch too, much of those movements increase for the fidget folks when stressed right out

I've tried telling this to people for years when they ask me how I lose weight so easily, but they always ignore. I literally can't stay still.

This is amazing to know. I see that I got my "workout" body after starting to do yard work. Most of my friends think I started working out but I didn't, nor I'm on a diet, I only eat when I'm hungry. It all make sense now. 🌻

So I'm thin, and have always been a big time eater and wondered why I wasn't as big as other people who eat less than I do, and I can say I am a constant fidgeter. Pacing is a big part of my thinking process, if I'm stressed I just start walking and rarely ever sit actually still.

Can confirm.

I probably overheat but I have ADHD and can’t stay still.

I’m pretty skinny and couldn’t possibly imagine ever gaining weight- it’s too hard.

I traded my safe desk job for manual labor. I've got a bachelor's degree, however I'm so happy animals lead to where they are ❤

I was reading about some symptoms that parents can look out for to detect if their kids might have an eating disorder, and one of them was fidgeting (bouncing their knees, etc) to burn calories. Initially I thought it was BS. Really interesting that this is genuinely proven to lose weight.

Haha that explains it! People keep asking my secret... I don't stop moving... Sounds like a lot of work but it's not when that behavior is just in your character.

This is why I add little workouts throughout the day. Countertop push ups every time you pee, squats in the shower, and others.

It's not the movement, it's the energy level which needs an outlet resulting in the movement.

“Holy shit man, I just did an intense stationary bicycle exercise for half an hour, I’m so exhausted and drenched in sweat. But hey, I burned like 300 calories!”

“Oh that’s cool man. Yeah I also burned a little today. Just my average 800 u know.”
“You must’ve been working way harder than I did”
“Yeah man, I was fidgeting and bobbing like crazy”
“🥴”
