Twister (1996): The F5 Tornado Scene

With the trailer dropping for the new movie Twisters let us take a look back at the original movie Twister in one of its most iconic scenes.

The team chases a predicted F5 tornado and their Dorothy prototype is destroyed by a flying tree branch. Jo and Bill almost get trapped in the tornado.

When I was a kid, I thought the tornado was alive. it growled, and it always followed them. heck, so many objects fell directly into the path of the characters out of everywhere else they could have fallen. it made me even more afraid of tornados.

The F5, now called EF5, is one of my favorite tornado in the movie. Showing how powerful these swirling menaces can become, lifting houses, uprooting trees, and tossing vehicles into the air as if they were nothing.

Filled Gas Transport truck picked up easily, but the much lighter Dodge just inches from it is able to drive away as if it’s just a strong breeze. I’ve gotta get myself a Dodge

It's been almost 30 yrs, this used to be my fav movie when i was 8. I'm just so excited that there is going to be a sequel next yr or in 2025, it suck s that we won't be able to see Bill or Phil Hoffman. May they rest in peace 🕊🕊
