The best scene is when they are at the aunts house and Jo is upstairs in the shower, Everyone is talking tornadoes and Melissa asks if anyone has ever seen a cat 5 and everyone simultaneously looks up at the ceiling. The seriousness looks on their faces is so funny. That's my fave scene. R.I.P Bill Paxton

Just saw the new film and really liked it. I only wished there was a reference to these characters, even a photo. I was looking for it but found nothing, which was kind of disappointing. It wasn't necessary, but it would have been nice. There are character archetypes similar to the main antagonist from the original, which I think was a nice nod.

Why is it that this film, which was made over 25 years ago, has more powerful, realistic, and tense scenes ? Mark Mancina's score is great as well.
