I love how the sounds of the tornados from this movie make them sound like a lion / predator.

I'm amazed at how the tornadoes in this film could lift cattle, trees, rooves, fence panels, ranch windmills, barns, farm machinery, cars, trucks, harrows, boats and entire houses... but not people.

I still love it!

A great movie for its time. Bill Paxton greatly under appreciated. But in reality the winds that close to any of those tornados would have killed them in almost every scene. Any tornado that can pick up an entire house, you wouldn't be physically able to run away from that close to it.

Any one else notice that the part at 3:10 when they "run for it" is not a part in the actual cut movie. This is an alternative out-take that was dropped. They ended up hunkering down in the slaughter barn. In this dropped out-take it looked silly, them running out of the barn with the F5 directly on top of them. They would be swept off their feet by the 200+ mile winds. Someone had the not-so-brilliant-idea of making them film that sequence. Glad it was dropped. One of my favorite movies of all time, I want to learn the story behind this.

I love watching the old twister. It’s nothing like the original movies I am 74 n I don’t like any of the new actors I guess I am just and old fashion women. N don’t like change. Specially when it comes to the old movies. N I do in joy them very much. N some times I can’t get them bc I got to pay or rent n I can’t afford it. So I don’t get to see what I love to watch. N that lol sucks.
