A Greensboro, North Carolina zoning commissioner who refused to use a woman’s correct title while addressing her during a Zoom meeting has been removed from the Zoning Commission by the City Council. In a video of the meeting with city officials, Tony Collins kept referring to Dr. Carrie Rosario as “Mrs. Rosario,” despite the fact that Rosario corrected him several times. Rosario, an associate professor at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, spoke about the exchange with Inside Edition. #InsideEdition

The fact that he even went a step further and said “hey Carrie” shows how much he intentionally wanted to disrespect her.

He only apologize when it turn out he is being removed from the committee what a shocker 🤣

Not only did he refuse to call her by her title, but when she corrected him he took a step further and called her by her first name alone just to spite her. That is how I know it was intentional.

You disrespect her in front of people and then apologize when nobody is around.

Why they call him commissioner is beyond me, she went to college for about a decade she earned that title and should be called it professionally. Good job Dr for correcting him.

Y’all can’t even say she’s reaching 💀she gave him many chances to address her as the title she worked hard for. I’m not letting no old man talking to me like that

Imagine being so small that you feel threatened by a woman just wanting to be addressed with the respect that she worked hard for and DESERVES.

He was being rude for no reason he should have called her Doctor and move on. He felt some type of way about this woman having a higher title then him.

He only apologised because he was backed into a corner, if he felt he had done wrong he would of apologised immediately...

The zoning commissioner refuses to call her "doctor" because of his own issues with inferiority!

This takes my breath away. The audacity! Notice how none of the men on the call came to her defense. Smh, no leaders, just scaredy cats.

He sure did went out of his way to disrespect her. He could’ve just simply said doc no problem wrong with that, but he intentionally hated to just call her doctor. Shame on you.
