Greatly Appreciate your help (1 week dasher here...). One thing, at least for a vehicle owner, since a dasher is an independent contractor --- keep a mileage log. Can take mileage reimbursement from the IRS when you do your taxes. Again, really great content and helpful!!!

The reason you make $2k a week is because you're in California with that prop 22 supplement. Come to Orlando using the same strategies tips and tricks and I guarantee you won't make anywhere close to what you make on the west coast. In fact I'll reimburse your flight, hotel, meals, rental car if you can.

This applies more to people in suburban/rural markets but I think it's also important to remember that not all miles are the same. I have a stretch of highway near one of my restaurant pockets and I'll take longer mileage orders if it's going up the highway, because I can knock out a 5 mile order in like 10 minutes. But if I go the other way through town with a bunch of traffic lights then 5 miles can be 20 minutes just getting there.

I have a 2022 Honda Trail 125 that I am excited about using when the weather gets better. 158 miles a gallon😁. I started in January with DD. Made Top Dasher for April. I like the training the algorithm by putting on pause and going back to your area. I started doing that just a couple days ago so you cemented that decision for me.
Love the electric bike as well. Thankyou

I think having an high acceptance rate is a way that doordash do to manipulate drivers to accept all order.... is a double edge

I honestly never thought of pausing my orders after delivery if the drop off is outside my pickup zone. It would definitely help not getting orders I know I won't take on the way back.

When it comes to using the "Order still being prepared" etc options when you get to stores, the most useful aspect of it is protecting your Dasher rating if a customer gives you a low score because you were late. If this happens and you selected one of the options about waiting at the store, DD will negate that rating.

I would also like to add, it's important to know when your zone is busy. Some places, only one or two prime times are actually busy (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Trying to dash during lunch when the town you're in is much more dinner-heavy would only be a waste of time. It's important to match your zone to its busy times. I live in a rural area, lots of small towns scattered around, so it's good to know the options and optimize the time.

I've tested all the programs and I agree with pretty much everything you said. A few things to add:
1) the most important factor to how well you will do is your market. No strategy will help you in an oversaturated, bad market.
2) if you look at your stats no matter what week I almost always average $9-$11 a delivery. This would indicate getting orders delivered quicker and just constantly being busy will smooth the variance of good/bad offers sent by the algorithm with enough volume.
3) the end goal of DD is to make it acceptance rate matter. They don't want people cherry picking good offers as they need those offers to "average" out the bad ones to get an hourly rate that's acceptable to drivers. Hence the stacking offers we are seeing more and more of.

6:34 - Important to note that sometimes the app un pauses you a few seconds after delivery. It has happened to me a few times. Just something to monitor in case it happens, but I do agreeing on pausing if you're too far away. No one wants to continuously get pushed away out of the zones they want to work in.

Someone tell Wingstop to fill their drinks. I can't stand picked up there. Food is never ready and the pop machine is often not even working properly.

Great to hear from you, was wondering where you've been! I've been dashing for a bit over 4 months. Your videos helped a lot to get me started off right. Speaking of hybrids, I have needed a new vehicle and decided on a '23 Corolla Hybrid. Arrives in a few weeks, think it will be amazing for dashing. I don't want to be dependent on plugs/electricity, just want great mileage with gas so this is the car for me!

I normally take my dash bag into the restaurant - if for no other reason, so employees can flag me and know to ask for the pick up name. Almost never have to say a word.

I had one Dasher get salty when I "cut" the line. I explained how I was a food delivery driver, and he said so was he! I just looked at him like he was the dumbest SOB on the planet. Your customer already ordered and pays high fees plus your tip. They are paying for you to get their food to them as fast as possible. PERIOD.

The AR kills me. I stay 43-51% but these offers are like 10 mi for $4. Im doing this to make money not for charity delivery. Some offers are flat out theft from us. I can't say accept.

I’ve noticed when I deliver orders quicker than normal, it will throw me better orders and will keep me busy up until I get that one McDonald’s order where I have to wait 20 minutes. Then the rest of the orders are kind of trash after that

I’ve been DD in Vegas for over a year, and have averaged $100/day for 8+hrs after putting $20 in gas. Only once a week will I make $120+ in less than 8 hrs. I cherry pick for at least $1/mi unless I’m desperate. I average 2 orders/hr mostly at $7 for 5 mi. I’ve racked up 50k mi in a year. Idk what I’m doing wrong, but DD overall is not worth it.

I love how the store doesn’t get the food to me till 8 min after it was Ready For P/U and I’m the one who gets the LATE tag on my profile.
That’s one of the best parts of DD.
And the customer is allowed to rate me Late

I tried Door dash. The first two weeks I averaged $25 an hour because they were trying to get me hooked. The next three months I averaged $17.50 an hour. Long wait times at restaurants, drives that left me 15 minutes away any deliveries. I quit!!
