This video was sponsored by Qualcomm. There is a silent revolution going on, as more and more new laptops are being made with mobile chips like the new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 and moving away from the old x86 architecture that was invented in the 70s. But although the laptops look similar on the outside, the features and the experience with these Snapdragon laptops is actually drastically different. In this video, I will share 4 main benefits of this new architecture and help you decide whether or not this is the right platform for your next laptop.

Inspiron 14 with Qualcomm Snapdragon on Sale for $279 at the moment. I went ahead and picked it up, see if it will work for me. I do plan to buy a Surface 9 later this year, so this will be a good temporary.

Comparing speed with previous snapdragon tells me nothing, you should put comparison with intel laptops.

I have a Dell laptop with the previous gend 8cx Gen 2 as a secondary laptop( primary is a gaming laptop) and IF you want a windows laptop with great battery life and basic tasks these Snapdragon equipped laptops are great. Only app I can't use is Bitdefender but thats ok.

Use windows for Arm. Go to power efficiency modes. choose power saving plan for media use. Set Max cpu clcok to 1.5GHz= over 30h Netflix on battery. LMAO

Yeah, I don't trust sponsored videos

PS: "Silent revolution" is the same term he used in his other sponsored video (the projector), which basically means no one is using it 😂

Nice video, but your camera demo 5:03 it was rally clear and your voice sounded the same. The camera demo 5:38 sounds clear but the image is not. Your guitars were clear but, you looked washed out. The 6:02 demo your voice is clear but the image looked fuzzy, it includes your image.

The reason why the cameras on smartphones are so much better has nothing to do with the chip what it has to do with is the fact that on smartphones the camera is ran through the PCI Express bust meaning it can support much larger whereas on most laptops it's connected as a USB device that's why you usually have better results from your phone there's no reason they couldn't put a good camera on it you just don't also you seem to be harping about the AI a lot however Intel and Razen processors do you have tensor cores built into them also the architecture is not Antiquated like you think it has been kept up to date the trick is is x86 x64 has a lot of brute power but it's not particularly efficient where is arm processors are extremely efficient but they don't necessarily have as much power I think that laptop could make a good laptop for doing office work or web browsing / streaming but I don't think it would be particularly good for more high-end applications not yet at least I am glad that more programs are supporting arm processors I would be quite pleased if they could make arm processors work just as well on Windows as x86 x64 processors but I doubt you can do everything you can do with an x 86 x 64 processor on Windows that can be done with an arm processor oh and by the way there was never anything that was stopping any of the laptop manufacturers adding a wireless 5G modem into it most just simply don't over there are a number of them out there that do you such modems

Late to the party on this one. Question: to install MS Office on this ARM laptop, do you need a specific “ARM” version of Office? Or can you simply use the conventional “MS Office for Windows”. Thanks.

ARM is better suited for ChromeOS than windows for now.

It’s megabits, not megabytes for future reference ;( that would be 1Gbps
