If we use Power Query to load data into an Excel Table then we may encounter an annoying default setting. That setting is that the Table columns are resized each time we refresh the query.

Thanks Mark! Good tip. I make this change to all my tables. When I need to auto adjust width, I just highlight and do a quick keyboard shortcut of ALT, H, O, I. Much better than having it resize every time. Thanks for sharing :)) Thumbs up!!

Excellent! This was REALLY hard for me to find. Glad it's here.
Now, is there a button I can click to get Microsoft to change this default external data property? I doubt it.

Thank you for the video. Unfortunately it does not work for me. I have Excel 2016 and unchecking "Adjust Column Width" has no effect - the refreshed table still changes column widths.

Hi.. how to merge multiple column into a single column with descending/ ascending order. For Eg. Column A, B, C has 5, 9, 3 & I want to put the data in column D in descending order like 953… plse help me out.
