Keep most recent record on a table with Power Query | Improved solution

I have shown you before how to filter a table by its most recent record before, but I have found a cleaner and I think more effective way to do it. (Tests both versions to see what works with your data)

Sort by date column(wrap this statement w/ Table.Buffer), right click ID and "remove duplicates". Easiest/efficient way I've found so far, and we've played with this a lot. List.Max/Table.Max/Group_By etc.

I love it! The perfect solution in HR and great performance! - one thing you need to remember this will keep just one record per ID if you have 2 on the same (late) date will not display both. I believe the previous solution will keep both. This one is ""kind of" Excel vlookup
