Great comment to a super intersting video and mini series. Only one note - Parliament in England in the 17th century, and especially the House of Commons, was not only representative of the proper aristocracy, which was represented in the House of Lords, but also of the landed gentry in counties consituencies and some particualry affluent gentlemen and merchants in boroughs (lawyers, bankers, doctors, wealthy mine and mill owners, freemen, army and navy officials etc). Basically, what you would call top end middle class today.
