Correct, Guardiola’s effect has been overwhelmingly negative. It’s not his fault really because he can’t help people copying him badly, but as well as individuals football needs plurality in styles and approach. His Barcelona team was magnificent, but that’s partly it had incredible individual players as well as an innovative strategy.

Yup. Now they’re pushing ppl that are marketable (conventionally attractive, charismatic, etc.) to be the new superstars of football. All about money.
