I love to eat and I do not have an off-switch so I have studied those people in my life that inherently and easily have maintained a healthy weight throughout their life. All that I have learned from my personal and professional research can be summarized in these five habits.

1. Small portions, small bites, order small sizes, smaller plates, smaller cups etc
2. Slow down, don’t eat fast. Take your time take a bite out fork down and chew. Not mindless eating
3. You taste with your mouth not your stomach. Meaning enjoy each bite and the taste. Be present
4. Naturally adjust habits if eat a lot one day or gained weight
5. Eating to live not living to eat

I grew up in a big family. The faster we ate, the more we were able to get (scarcity mentality). Fast eating is a tough habit to break. I wonder if the slower more contemplative eaters were only children or came from abundant environments. Now that's getting deep into the conditioning.

Not 'naturally lean' but one habit I picked up from Penn and Ray was to weigh myself daily. This gives me daily feedback on how my weight is doing, I can observe how my body reacted to the previous day's food intake and when things start to get out of hand, make adjustments accordingly. It's all about the data. :)

I love this! I'm one of those naturally lean people. I'm 47 years old 6'3 tall and 179lbs. That's the heaviest I've ever been. Friends says I'm skinny.n I'm thinking about ways to improve my diet. These are thoughts that run through my mind during my day.

Very good points. It's true I'm always doing better when thinking small portions. Constant battle though🤣

After reading about Walter Kempners Rice diet of white rice, fruit, fruit juice and white sugar, then seeing those youtubers in their 40's now Freelee banana girl and Durianrider, them very lean, showing their blood reports to be perfect and Freelee was fat before the raw till 4 diet. They both pour on the sugar do like a 90/5/5 diet carbs/fat/protein, I think eating 5000 cal a day. What's going on there? Is it the same reason a alcoholic stays slim, all the sugar fermenting? Explain? I can see, we all can see now, all fat diet get slim, all protein diet get slim, all carb diet get slim, mix struggle, no natures food has large amounts of all three, no animal eats all three. As we go back in time people were more thinner and as we go back in time we had less and less processed foods which mix all three. When do we say hey maybe something there, not supposed to be mixing?
