I love my mini 2. I live in the woods. I actually crashed it hard into a tree, and it fell hard. I was so disappointed in myself. But……. The mini 2 survived, and zero damage! All the props are still perfect, it flys awesome, and the gimbal unblemished! The mini 2 can take a beating! I’m very impressed with it, and excited to watch more of you’re videos to learn more! Thanks for another awesome video!

Just ordered a mini SE. I’ve never flown a drone and the few reviews say it’s a good beginner drone to start with. It will arrive tomorrow and I’m excited to get started flying and creating video and still photo content.

I almost bought the DJI mini SE until I saw your video and thank god I did . Because of your video I picked up the DJI mini 2 definitely a step up in every way for not a big difference in price. I have Mini 2 but got an SE just to keep in the car in case I see something not to be missed. It is cheap enough to be a good stand-by drone. Yes, if you want to do a comparison, go for it.

Bought a mini se as my first drone, I was limited in my budget. It has definitely held up great. I’m amazed at the camera resolution and stabilization.

He is right, the transmission is the biggest factor but the other thing that made me upgrade to the mini 2 is the zoom. The way I use mine that has been a big deal to me that wasn’t mentioned. Good review though.

Just to add - was also looking to purchase the SE over the 2 but in NZ the drone flying laws state that the drone needs to be within visual distance. Now since I already have the Maveric 2, I think the SE would be the better option for me as flying it further than 500m is a no go. I just want a drone that I can quickly deploy. Thanks for making it easier to decide

Great comparison tutorial Aldryn! While the SE has it's place in the starter drone world, transmission is top priority for me. I consider it added protection of my investment.

Absolutely, OcuSync is a big deal, worth the money if you can afford it. The Mini2 also has the DJI SDK released now, providing some great options for extra nav features, soon.

The mini 2 is just an awesome piece of kit. For the year that I've owned it I got my commercial lliscense and even made a profit off of some realtor neighbors of mine. Not to shabby for amateur

Mini SE is good enough for beginner. I've purchased Mini SE a month ago as my first drone, and I love it! If I can learn how to fly around the corner smoothly, I'll think about upgrading to mini 2 or 2s/3 in near future.

Well! Because of budget just bought myself a Mini SE, seems well worth it even though it might not be as incredible as the Mini 2, still believe I'll enjoy flying that thing though!

I get almost 5km range out of the original mini, the only thing preventing it going further is the battery, also let your battery cool down before recharging the battery and let the battery cool down after charging, that will prolong the battery life.
