this is far more helpful than the official troubleshooting videos Bissell have on their channel. I was on the verge of returning my little green today too lol. Thank you!

Had to take mine all apart just to find the pump motor was all rusted up and not spinning at all when power was applied. I took the motor off and put it in vinegar and let it sit all night long. Took a wire brush next morning and cleaned the motor off of the main rust. I then went at it with WD-40 and again it got more rust off and sprayed inside the motor real well. I ended up cleaning off 90% of the rust off the main body and was able to clean the inside of the motor and got it freed up and spinning again. Blew the whole thing with air pressure real well and tried it out and it ran like a charm again. Spray came up to full blast again. I alos blew out the main hose with air from a compressor through it. Works great now. Found in garbage, fixed it, and now have it working.

Your video should be a 'must view' before starting to use this machine. I was so frustrated when the water didn't come out, and it was brand new. Thank you for posting this—it works!!

Own the exact one. Glad I came across this video! I use mine hours a day (no joke) cleaning cars and I unclogged it and bought a new wand! Best little extractor!

Bought this and was super disappointed when the sprayer wasn't using much force. I was going to return it. Tried the troubleshooting methods mentioned here, and it works great now. Thank you!

For those who have water with gravity but no pressure when spraying, read this comment!

If you are not very mechanically inclined or you are scared to take apart the machine, have someone assist or take pictures as you disassemble.

1) Remove the back plastic brackets (these hold the sprayer and the power cord respectively)

2) Remove both empty tanks and remove the screws that are at the below where the tank was sitting. One is on the side of a big box looking thing and the other 2 are on a little clip.

3) Remove the screws that are in the handle (2)

4) The whole plastic assembly should now be removable. Remove the 2 wires that connect to the power button (remember which goes to which) and you will see:
- Big white thing (this is the pump that gets the water into the dirty tank)
- A little motor in a white plastic bracket. (this is the motor that puts pressure to the spray nozzle)

The issue Is likely one of two things:

A) The big motor is clogged full of hair (you can remove the 3 bolts in the assembly and lift it out and clean the bottom of the motor and the part where the water gets sucked through)

B) the little motor is rusted / doesn't spin freely.
- For me, the fix was this: I removed the motor from the bracket and disconnected the wires. Then I took a pair of pliers and spun the needle at the end of the motor back and forth and multiple times to break free any possible dust, rust or anything causing it to not spin.

After reassembling everything in reverse order, BE SURE TO TIGHTEN EVERYTHING AS TIGHT AS YOU CAN BY HAND WITHOUT OVERTIGHTENING (trust me, you will have to take it all back apart to retighten so it doesn't leak).

Let me know if this helped you by liking.

If you have any questions I can try to answer in the replies.

The sprayer pumps are rusting inside the machine. If your not using your green machine often, it rusts. Water + non stainless metal = rust. For those of you that don't clean often, say just around the holidays for example, stay clear of this product. The interior spray pump needs to be in use regularly to avoid the rust issue. Just scroll down to waynedavies post and read his fix.

I'm a hero to my wife, thanks for posting this. There was a clog in the clear rubber hose under the trigger.

Wow. I watched your video for 15 seconds and fixed the issue. Thank you!!! I’ve been frustrated for months about this and was just about to give up after watching the Bissell video that did not help at all. Found this and voila. Thanks a million!

thank youu you fixed 2 of my issues the leaking with your other video, I ordered replacements for tanks and then it was still not spraying and today I took it apart like you said and did the prime of the tank and it worked! My issue was soapy tube, too much solution so now I will use more water and not so much solution

Thabks for this. I used the disassembly instructions to clear out the blacj hose that connects the tank to the trigger subassembly. Fixed it!

Hi this was a helpful video, I was able to figure out that I do not have a clog. However, priming the hose did not result in the sprayer working when positioned above the tank. Any idea what I should check further?

HI. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. I LOST THE SPRING THAT ALLOWS THE WATER TO COME OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE CLEAN WATER TANK. WHAT ARE THE DIMENSIONS OF THE SPRING SO I CAN TRY AND FIND A SUITABLE REPLACEMENT SPRING.

So the water comes out like how yours does when the machine is off but when I turn it on it isn’t forceful at all. There is no power behind the water. Would that be the pump then?

Drew. My issue is that all of a sudden, my green machine spells like something is burning. Like burning plastic or something. Have you run across that? I just purchased it less than 2 months ago so it's not very old. The cord doesn't seem frayed.
