My ProHeat wasn't spraying. I thought the pump was bad, it turned out that the handpiece sprayer was clogged. I was able to clear it with a small compressor.

This video was very helpful- I was having the same problem. I didn't end up using an air compressor to clear it, but I just ran hot water over the end of the sprayer nozzle and ran water through the tube that it comes out and it unclogged pretty easily and is now working great. Thanks so much!!

Wow, I have two with the sprayer not working. Just saved me $110 from buying a third machine and both are now like new. Thanks!

Just tried the $2 can of compressed air fix for my carpet cleaner and it did work!
I was having a problem with it sometimes spraying or very little or not at all.

Thanks. I had that same problem and bought a new end piece from Amazon. It worked great for maybe 10 minutes then it was as bad as the old one.
I had not watched this video but wish I had. I used a Q-tip and turned it a few times and problem solved. I did the same procedure to the old one and it now works perfectly. Here is what I think causes the problem. During the vacuuming process when you press down hard and depending on the thickness of the carpet it gets clogged with with either dirt or carpet fuzz, etc. I now keep a few Q-tips taped to the machine.

Worked great, thanks for sharing. I used a manual bike pump and it still worked using that.

You can also use a long thick sewing needle to check if the sprayer is clogged.

If you have the PROHEAT version, and you have tried to clean out everything and your pump spins fine.... The heater on mine (aka the black box the water tubes connect to)… it was clogged to hell and back with mineral deposits.

I unhooked both tubes from the heater(black box) and ran the water line straight to the pump. Bypassing the heater. Works now and no money spent.

It will work, if you're lucky to see water leaking from hose adapter; if not you have to take apart and get to little water pump motor to needle nose pliers twist rusted spinner and lubricate with oil.

Awesome. I'm going to try this. I thought I'd have to buy a new machine.

I was able to remove that nozzle piece by using a center punch and pushing it out. Then I let it sit in some vinegar to clear it out.
Now I'm just trying to figure out how to take the clear cover part off to clear out the stuff stuck in it.

I just drilled the tip and made the bore a little more wide so the problem doesn't happen again

That solved my problem. Thanks for sharing.

Mine stopped spraying after the first use. No clogs. Ridiculous. Noticed I wasn't the only person having this issue on a new machine in the reviews. Piece of junk. Returned.

How about using a can of compressed air with the red extension connected ?

JUST RINSE THE NOZZLE EVERY TIME YOU'RE DONE USING IT. WON'T GET CLOGGED.
JUST LIKE YOU CLEAN ANYTHING ELSE YOU USE IN LIFE IF YOU WANT TO PREVENT BUILD-UP OF GUNK; SHOWER, TOILETTE, KITCHEN SINK, TOOTH-BRUSH, EVEN YOUR TEETH AND YOUR BODY.
