hey ryan, i’m usually a quiet commenter but i felt the need to say something after watching this video. i really admire how you can articulate your feelings and be vulnerable on the internet with millions of people. your story touched my heart because all though i’ve never been in a similar situation, i know people who have and it’s never an easy thing to deal with parents like that and i’ve seen the emotional & physical distress it can put someone. and I’m so sorry for all the obstacles in life that you’ve gone through and things that you don’t talk about on the internet and keep to yourself. im a very empathetic and sentimental person so i truly do feel for you and hearing your story touched my heart in the best way possible. im happy you’re healing and finding yourself & going out into nature and doing things that YOU love. even though you don’t know me, or even your supports personally, we’re all proud of you & excited for this new journey of yours. we support and love you ryan❤️

I've been following your journey for a while now and, as a member of the lgbt community, this video broke my heart at the beginning so much. It's so unfair that gay people have to fear being themselves for no other reason than hatred. Like you said, you're Ryan. And Ryan happens to be gay, which literally doesn't change anything. You just like men, and that doesn't define who you are, it's just one of the many things that make you, you. But you're a tough guy, you've been through a lot and you're taking the right steps to being free and being yourself, and I'm so proud of your journey and all your hard work.
