I'm really sorry for your traumatizing experience at home, in the church and with the pastor. people dont know how to love others well sometimes, particularly loving the gay community. ive had numerous struggles that most people will never understand but ive never had struggles with my sexuality. so ill never know what that's like, but I presume it must also be a very difficult struggle. and for that, my heart really goes out to you, brother. To those who are in the closet, or perhaps not completely out yet, just know I, along with hundreds of thousands of others, are there for you. Coming out will be different for everyone. Some of you might have accepting friends yet hating parents, accepting parents yet hating friends, both hate or both love, but whatever way it is, know that *you* matter, and eventually, you will find something, or someone, that will matter to you.

People who think being gay is a choice are just ignorant and delusional. Nobody would go through the struggles and immense judgement that comes with being gay unless they absolutely had to. I didn’t choose to be straight and gay people don’t choose to be gay. Attraction is biological and even in this video, he TRIED to choose to be straight but it is just something you are born into. I believe there is a possibility that it could be some type of genetic defect that has been made common place over generations but it is in no way wrong. Religious people just can’t cope with their God creating gay people so they claim it is a choice. Imagine a group of people trying to represent a loving/forgiving entity but spreading and embracing hate.
