Palomar knot: How to tie the Palomar knot to your swivel (and make sure it’s strong enough)

The Palomar is a great swivel knot to use with mono and it's easy to tie.

This is another one of my favourite knots and I use it a lot to attach my mainline/mono to a swivel. I show you how to tie this knot from a couple of different angles and a detailed close up so that you know if you’ve tied it securely.

Great video. Really shows how to properly seat the knot and everything else you’d need to know.. I landed a 16 lb carp on 6 lb fluorocarbon using the palomar knot. It holds well.

Why would you ever need to connect a ring swivel to your mainline anyways? Always use a leader anyways
