Eh, Unless you already are using Uber, drinking at Dunkin and eating at Five Guys regularly, this card is not worth it.

If you have to put in effort and change your behavior it's not saving you any money

You're in fact spending more

Can’t help but feel like there is “girl math” going on when claiming we are essentially getting paid to use the card. Unless you’re already spending more than what if offered monthly in benefits, you’ll end up spending more money than you normally would have without the card.

Amex: "west coast? Screw you"

Hey John, I been a fan for a long time but I felt off about this review. To say that this is the best card of the year is an over statement. The main appeal of this card was always about the 4% groceries and restaurants. The extra credit was a nice bonus but you shouldn’t make extra purchase just to make the card justify. I felt like it’s just a more expensive version of the previous gold card. I hope your enthusiasm about this card is pure and not due to any under the table deal to promote the card.

It's not free coffee, you are paying $325 AF. You can make coffee at home for 10 cents per mug. And don't have to travel to get it.

Come on man ! Be loyal to your suscribers and don’t bullshit them for paid promotions … you will have to shut your channel down when everyone unsubscribes

One of the only people I’ve seen give a positive opinion about the updated benefits…

Amex is one of the last cards I would want. I would place Chase, Citi, and CapitalOne ahead of them all day long. Amex is an over priced coupon book that requires wayyy to much work to get value out of. No thanks.

Man I lucked out! Just got approved last week for the 90k bonus with $250 annual fee, went ahead and put myself as an auth user and got the white gold card shipped earlier today.

While on paper it’s great that we can be in the positive for the EAF, it’d be great if more restaurants were added to Resy!

Love the energy. However, the $99 rant is way overdone. Saying that the dining credits are easy is only accurate if you live in a city with Dunkin (try to find one in Seattle) and one that has Resy restaurants (many don’t). Also, there is a reason that many people, including major credit card YouTubers are canceling the card. Having to take actions you wouldn’t normally take, like going to Shake Shack monthly, is gimmicky and annoying. And the value has to be compared to value you can get with alternative cards with much lower or no fees. Bottom line: a bit more balance in presentation would be nice. Your videos are great, but this one misses.

I...I cant see how this fits a fiscally responsible lifestyle, unless you are already eating at all these places you lose money, you have to go out of your way to go there, you probably wont just spend the credit, you'll spend under or over.

Feel like you are forcing this one. 5% cash back no annual fee cards still beat this.

“Pay you to have it” meanwhile they are raking it in from their partnerships with those companies and handing you a credit that they didn’t pay a dime for 😂

My unbiased opinion. Anytime a company rolls out something new, guarantee 2 things. (1) cost will increase (2) value will decrease. This is not limited to points cards. If you ever had cable TV, you know what I’m talking about.

As someone who lives in Boston this card became even better

I got 90K points signing up for this card a few weeks ago. My buddy just found a 100K points offer for this card today.

Have to disagree with you on the $99 net benefits. To me, the point is not on the 'effort', but having to go out of my way every month to spend money that otherwise I'm not spending is not benefits.

I'd rather keep the money in my pocket than having to pay the fees up front to go spend more every month to recoup them back.
