if exploring new technology is your definition of "promotion", then blackball me...whatever that means. the only thing that bothers me more than "fanboys" are those that hate everything a company does just because of the company. Hate Win 8 if you want...i'm not a fan of it either, but at least I'm willing to try and explore new technology instead of blindly hating it. if you aren't willing to live on the cusp of technology, you have no business watching my videos anyway.

@Greg it's not a theme, its an app that you can swipe up on the bottom of the tablet and press gome to go back ITS NOT A THEME

mine was a nook in the video. tablets are cheaper than most computers, so i would think it's the poor mans computer.

I remember being in one of your livestreams around 2-4 years ago by the name of "CompProHD" - Just thought to see if you are still going strong!

I think you should spread the words "Windows 8 works best with non touch screen computer". One is the precision you get with a mouse. Two is the ease of use (have you seen the keyboard shortcuts). And third is your health is better with a mouse (I'm not sure about this but a mouse doesn't stress my triceps)

Hey snake, gigafide has a point, think about it: if humans did not exercise their curiosity then we would still be back in the stone age, riding to work on dinosaurs and using dial-up.

Calm down, Cave, we don't want Portal 2 references on a Windows 8 video.

I have a good laptop and desktop which already have stunning displays. So I really want to use a cheap multi touch device to use as a remote desktop controller over wifi for these two PCs and possibly a blueray player. Is Splash player going to accomplish this for me, and do you know of any other apps coming down the pike?
I have installed win 8 pro on my desktop and I love it, so having a remote controller rather than buying a touch screen monitor would be great.

I consider the title slightly missleading! A windows 8 tablet for me is a tablet designed to run windows 8. If you connect an apple TV box to a TV, the TV does not automatically become an Apple TV, does it? And what this apparently does, is no more then sending a video Signal with some adaptions...

Do you get to keep WIndows 8 on your tablet, or will it expire also? Another thing, once Windows 8 expires on your laptop will it go back to being the original OS or will you be stuck with a prompt to purchase the full version of Windows 8?

you can install windows 8 on a lot of tablets, not remote access but fully install, wish you mentioned that.

Backtrack is nice to have, but most of what the distro offers is not used most times and just wastes space. I just install the tools I need, most of the time only when I need it. I use different flavors of debian at home, and live anonym.OS or Tails when browsing at coffee shops. :)
