Simple Python Face Tracker - Weekend Hacker #1806

Do you know where your face is? I sure hope so. But does your computer know where your face is? I know what you're thinking...why would I want my computer to know where my face is? Well, the answer to that question is 54. Moving on. Regardless of why, I enjoy writing programs to teach my computer new tricks. And this trick involves teaching the computer to recognize what it's seeing through a camera (Computer Vision). So one of the easiest first steps in computer vision is teaching the computer how to recognize faces. It's actually fairly simple, so let's get to it!

I tried using the command "pip3 install open-cv-python" on Command Prompt and I got an error telling me that "'pip3' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Not only that, but I tried running your code in PyCharm and got another error: "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'cv2'"

Is there a way to make the output a higher frame rate on the raspberry pi or is it just due to processing requirements?

Hey tinkernut, I was wondering if you could make a video that takes this project and uses a USB webcam and a pan/tilt servo gimbal in order to move the camera as your face moves. If not, can you point me towards any resources that may help me accomplish this? Thanks!
