I can program in BASIC, it makes my electronics experiments that much easier because I don't have to keep constantly work out formulas, I can just pug the numbers into the program and have it do all the hard work.

Not sure esoteric programming languages are the way to go for beginners. But if you want to go that rout, how about Chef, Shakespeare, or Piet? Those are fun.
