Before we can continue with PHP and MySQL, we first have to set up our own server. This video shows you the steps you need to take in order to host your own website from your own computer.

For the port forwarding:

1) open cmd, and type " ipconfig/all " (without quotes) and locate the default gateway, which could be for example: 192.168.0.1 (or what gigafide used, or some other ones) and type that ip into the browser, default username is admin and password is password.

2) go to portforward (dot) com and locate your model number and you will be able to find out how to port forward your specific router.

3) enjoy :)

Its important to Note that your computer has to run all the time in order to make your page accesible all the Time. Thats a huge powerconsumption & you need fast internet to have many users visiting your site. Its probably much cheeper to rent a small VPS for about 4$ or something.

found this one alot more helpful then the javascript, i realize like i've said previously that there's too much in javascript to cover in one video, but i still feel it could haver been better. Getting back on topic, thanks for the quality videos that help out tech aspiring people such as myself. funny enough i was called a hacker by my computer teacher, who does have a bit of skill, but i dont believe him, but the day will come when i can proudly call myself 1337 Haxor!

No, even if you get it strait from the registrar, you still have to pay registration/maintenance fees.

Search for that DLL on google, you should find a download. Then try placing it in the windows folder, or in the folder of WAMP. Hope this helps

Xampp is more secure and uses less memory.

You might want to mention some providers make you go to their website to configure your router. Mine does, it took me a month to figure that out. My provider is Telenet if you want to know. :P

Just a little heads up, if you don't have a static IP address your DNS wont work as the IP is set to that, make sure you download the no-ip client if your IP address is dynamic because this auto-refreshes your IP to your domain name
