Excellent content. I know I’m not the only one that has requested information like this. I’m looking forward to the information from Tim’s builds. Hopefully you’ll continue this route with other comparisons.

GPU Scaling is a good thing, let's be real, 99% of us will never have rtx 3090ti.

These scaling videos along with the final thoughts at the end are infinitely valuable.

Big thanks to Steve and the HU team. Love this sort of significantly RELEVANT content for the wider consumer market. You've helped answered questions I had and would have had... and can't wait for further benchmarks across a multitude of games

Really love the idea of doing systems as the follow up! Excited to see it!

Great content as always!
Thanks a lot for including several GPUs so people who only look at graphs can finally see the CPU doesnt matter if you're running a 3060.

This video is Genius, and these are the types of benchmarks I want to see. It leaves us guessing when CPUs of this range are being benchmarked with a 3080-3090ti, and not a midrange GPU like the 3060.

Great content. Please keep up this GPU scaling benchmarks and we need more budget oriented benchmarks!

Love this testing format because it tells me more about the CPUs than tests that just nerf the graphics to get maximum framerates because I don't play my games like that. I play like these tests with the graphics turned up as high as possible. This is how the 3800X3D should be tested and not like that joker in SA who tested it at 720p and low settings which tells me nothing about how it's going to perform for me since I haven't played at 720p in almost 2 decades and certainly not on the lowest settings

Great content, keep it up!!!

Great review! Never thought I’d see Intel being “competitive” in the price category. What a time we live in, huh? Btw, I did enjoy the random B-Roll shots with familiar toys and products. It looks like you had fun with it 👍

Great content as always! :)
What about doing all of the same tests but with AMD GPU-s to compare the differences if any? (Did you not yourselves discover that AMD and Nvidia graphics drivers need different amounts of CPU power?)

Thank you so much for this comparison, I much rather see it done this way because most people won't be pairing a 3090 with a mid or budget CPUs. As a 3060ti owner myself I'm relieved to see that either CPU would get the job done at the resolution I play at. No regrets here! 😁

I would love to see the 12100f included in the upcoming comparisons. I think it would be interesting too see how little you can get away with on the CPU front when targeting higher resolutions on midrange hardware. 3070 @ 1440p for example.

Thank you, Steve 👍
CPU/GPU scaling info is so helpful, and you've always crushed it

Love your content!
Im not in the process of buying a cpu right now (got a 5600x combo deal a few weeks ago), but you hit a lot of the considerations that more or less paralized me in my decision.
Where I live there is also a premium on B660 boards, and I could not decide if I should go MITX in order to move back into a smaller case at some point.
A good combo was what I needed. It was easier to say "That is a good deal" than weighing several options and try to figure out what is optimal.

It seems like we may have a back and forth race between AMD and Intel for the next year or two, let's just hope this competition in turn nets us PC builders some nice price drops along the way :)

Now it's time to find out how fast the Ryzen 5 5600 goes around our track. And that means handing it over to our tame racing driver. Some say he enjoys Australia because it makes his face right side up. And if he was running AMD he wouldn't cock it up by waiting over a year to release cheaper Ryzens! All we know is, he's called The Stig!

Awesome video! This is time consuming to do, but comparing a cpu performance across different gpus is is a great idea. I hope you do this as well when you compare gpus on your next videos, test them across different cpus as well.

I'd really like to see scaling compared between the 5600 and something older like the 2600 or the 2700. I feel like that's going to be more relevant then comparing two brand new chips. And I might be biased because I'm on one of those older chips with a b350 board, and will be upgrading once a bios is released lol.

I'm on i5-6600k and I delayed the CPU upgrade for so long, that Intel managed to became the go to option once again 😫
