everybody out here making things complicated and you just explained that SOO much simpler than anyone else I've come across!
I only just learned a couple weeks ago (46yrs old here and I played piano for 2 years when I was a kid and THOUGHT I was taught basic music theory back then) that notes are dynamically named based on the key of the scale you're playing in!
and you just explained all of that so clearly!
it's like there's this expectation by seasoned musicians that scales and note naming are just second nature and all students have to do is "just practice the scales"
but how can anyone practice something they don't even understand?
looking forward to reviewing more of your videos!

This really brings a lot of information in a short amount of time, and the presentation is simple but is also amusing as you bring bits of humor in between examples. The way you break things down is clear and is easy to understand. You're content is very helpful, thank you for that.

Great content, thank you. 32 year old guitarist, bassist here. I can play but I don't know why things work and others dont. Trying to change that.

This is awesome! I just entered the scale part of my studies on sax and was in trouble trying to figure out WHY we’re doing this. NOW I get it. Thanks

I've just wrapped my head around G# major to find it's a theoretical scale. This was very informative and I've learned a lot about major scales. Thank you

I really appreciated this man, I'm in percussion so I don't use these things much but I had them for an assignment in band. You explained it really well and helped me understand it, thank you.
