My name is Jens Larsen, Danish Jazz Guitarist, and Educator. The videos on this channel will help you explore and enjoy Jazz. Some of it is how to play jazz guitar, but other videos are more on Music Theory like Jazz Chords or advice on how to practice and learn Jazz, on guitar or any other instrument.

The videos are mostly jazz guitar lessons, but also music theory, analysis of songs and videos on jazz guitars.

What are the most important things to know in your scales? 😎

This is probably the most helpful YouTube short I have seen for beginners in music looking to become intermediate. Every beginner musician needs to learn this. Thank you for all your videos, they are a big help.

Jens, this is absolute perfection. This could be hours/weeks/months of practice, in a very efficient, clearly explained short lesson. Amazing. Your channel always has some great content, but this super concise vid was so good-delivers a ton of value. Thank you.

I’ve always had trouble making the major scale sound good, I just play it aeolian style in the the relative minor lol. But now that I’m learning jazz it seems necessary to do this. Your videos have helped me more than anything ever. Thanks Jens!

Thank you. A mistake I was making: I could play scales, thirds, triads and arps upwards but got them wrong going down. Up and down is important! And making lines of course.

Thanks for sharing. Another neat scale pattern I was shown was inverted thirds, C E F D E G A F G B C A B D ... and going down, C A G B A F E G F D C E D B A ... A local friend teacher who showed it to me learned this from Howard Roberts, also for all the other intervals.

I have your book and subscribe to your online course. I've learned more front you than all other teachers combined. Problem (benefit?) Is the more I learn, the more I discover what I don't know. Such a privilege to have you as a resource. Cheers.
