In my case its like "I would like to use my spell to disguise myself and convin... uh... so you already put us in combat... got it... I'll just... Ok I'll use tendrils to... everyone is already spread out and there's no choke points... then I... nope... nope... cant do that... *sigh* eldritch blast from now to the end of combat because Power Word Kill NEVER WORKS!"

When ever i think of using eldritch blast, i think of the possibility that you can use it like laser eyes.

Warlocks really be saving their Spell Slots which they already can regain via Short Rest just to use Hex or Armor of Agathys.

I love the repelling blast and lance of lethargy evocations to push people away and rob them of their movement. I ended up cheesing a boss encounter this way

I'd like to mention that Fiend-patron warlocks get access to Fireball at level 5, soooo... Yeah, hehe.

(I know it's a meme but I do enjoy Fireball, fling giant explosions like a badass 😎)

Other than that, all those juicy Eldritch Blast specific invocations, mmm...

Illusionist Bracers + War 3 / Lock 17. Once a day, fire 12 blasts for 12d10 + 60 (Agonizing Blast) + 12d6 (Hex) and potentially move them up to 120 feet in any direction (Grasp of Hadar / Repelling Blast) or heal your party with hit dice (Raven Queen's Blessing).
