targeting weight loss on one part of the body isn’t real btw, if you want a flatter stomach you’ll have to lose fat all over your body to see a difference, these pelvic raises can help tone muscle & add strength but you’re not gonna see the muscle (or flatness) until you remove the fat by overall body workouts

For me having somewhat lower belly fat was a blessing before I was pregnant. It prevented me from having stretch marks.

Just a reminder that the lower belly fat is there to protect organs, and it varies genetically. Please don't feel like you need to have your bones poking out to be healthy. It's okay to have a tummy.

Fun fact: most women anatomically can not have a flat lower stomach, because that's where the uterus is. And that's ok, having a flat stomach shouldn't be the ultimate goal and doesn't define your worth!

Don't want to flare the ribs like this though. Best que is to think about pressing your ribs down to your belly and that should lead to having back actually touch the floor fully upon the decent.

I mean you can't spot reduce -- BUTTTT Pilates is a wickedly good way to build core and lower back strength and stability so I'll have a go.

I thought for many Pilates exercises your back is supposed to be glued to the floor when it touches the floor when you engage the core (neural spine). Is that not the case for this type of exercise? Not trying to be a pain, just making sure I have the right form when I try this because I need to strengthen my pelvic floor!

I used to do this about a year ago and my pelvic bone was significantly more toned but my stomach fat remained lol😅
